Movember

Movember started out as a joke between friends. Because of the amount of fun they had they decided to make it a profitable organization for men's health. What they came up with is they would raise money by growing mustaches in the month of November. I thought this idea was well thought out and creative and that why i think it is so successful.

The one thing that stuck with me out of this meeting is that you need to put yourself out there, market yourself because if you don't and your waiting for people to come to you they aren't going to come. If i want to play hockey in the future I am definitely going to need to start thinking about how i can get myself out there.

We have done two units so far, one is price of tickets, and the other unit was staffing of the games such as ushers and security. What we learned about hiring staff was you need the right amount of both to maintain composure of the fans, while making profit

This unit we studied was about ticket pricing and how to set it up to make a profit and have people at your game. To make a profit you need to have what the people want, but also have fair and reasonable prices. We did an excersize to show what the prices would need to be to make a profit at a football game. By flucuating the prices of the different sections in the staduim i could see the profit change as well and the number of fans going to the game.

This artile is interesting because of the way one person can rebound and make a living off of selling beachfront houses. This artile demostrates how if you never give up on making a living, he started from the bottom and worked his wayup.

Sports marketing is very important and getting an image upon a building is one strategy on how to promote your buisness. the civic center in portland maine is still deciding what company is going to be on the side of the building. rumor has it wasabi records put a very unreasonable offer on the table but is the only offer so far. that offer was one underd dollars.
